Default headlight problems! Im stumped!

the driver headlight motor wont pop up, i check the motor to see if it was damaged in the minor front end accident i had but it works fine. I even bought a new headlight motor and it still isnt working. cant figure it out.

the accident was slightly to the driverside from the center of the front.

any thoughts!?

I'm guessing there are no clearance issues with the body panels and the headlight panel. Can you raise it manually with the **** without any binding?

Did the collision put the hinge in a bind to the point where the motor can not overcome the added resistance?

yes. no clearence issues. i connected both motors i have for that side and neither worked when connected to the wiring but they would work when connected to the passanger side. i know it is something having to do with the electronics but cant figure it out

no. the headlight has no damage to it. the motor wont even turn when connected by itself with nothing for the motor to move when on the driver side, but it will when on the passanger side

Sounds like no electrical power on the drivers side. Check the circuit, fuse, wires, might be a relay involved. An electrical schematic should help.

Check fuse #4, under hood fuse panel. #4 is for left side. #3 is for right side.

I don't have a wiring schematic for your car any more, but do the obvious things. Look at the ground packs at both frame forward frames adjacent to the hood risers. Make sure they are tight. Next is the headlamp control module located on the right forward front frame rail. Make sure the connectors (2) are plugged in all the way. Next, I believe there are micro relays in both fuse compartments, but I sure don't know any more which ones. Send a PM to Bill Curlee as he will probably have the diagrams

does anyone know where the micro relays are for the driver side headlamp. checked the fuses. the module on the right side is connected and working for the passanger side headlamp. headlights turn on but the motor to flip the lights doesnt work still for the drivers side.

trying to figure this out one step at a time. its not the fuse, its not a ground, if its not that it should be a relay. beyond that im not sure!?
