Default Remove rear defrost lines?

I think these things are hideous, especially on a black car with black windows. Can I remove these things with a razor blade or some sand paper? I don't drive the car in the rain so defrost issue wont be a problem.

Razor blade will pull the conductive metal off, but not the resin. I believe they etch the glass when they lay the resin, and I don't see it ever coming off IMHO.

sounds like an extreme waste of time and a risk of damaging the rear glass. Are they that bad? Buy a rear glass that is made of lexan

It is possible to get the lines off but you'll scratch the glass pretty bad by the time you're finished. You probably don't care, but rear defrosters are required by law for the manufacturers to include them. The next person who buys your car might care.
