I have had a problem with my transmission (99 MM6) that does not sound like anything posted here. I have had no problems at all, smooth shifter, stayed in gear etc. Then about two days ago, my wife is shifting from 1st to 2nd under normal acceleration and she says the trans went to 2nd gear, she released the clutch and then the trans jumped out of gear. She also said that she felt the clutch jump. Now the car will shift into any gear but won't move. I can hear the standard neutral "pebbles" sound of the torque tube/trans when cycling the clutch. It is at the Chevy dealer (because I have no other choice where I live).
Any ideas/similar experience? The dealer hasn't found any obvious problems and says it will take at least 3 hours of diagnostics. If I can get them pointed in the right direction it will make my life easier.
Verdict is in...my transmission cracked the case between the trans and the differential causing the outpub shaft to snap. This one is going to hurt. A lot of options all that cost tons of money, I am leaning towards an RPM transmission and differential because of the good press on this forum and they are as cheap as I can find over stock. Any opinions?
