I have the kit, now I need the 'how to' and I'll be ready to go.
Has anyone put fog lights on a '99 FRC? I'm ready to tackle this
baby. Fog lights will look awesome on the car! Thanks for the help.
Carol
Are these PIAA lights being installed? OR are you trying to install a GM fog light system?
There is a difference
In answer to where to take it should you not want to tackle this yourself.
Take it to your local CORVETTE MOD SHOP.

I am not sure how the 99 is set-up BUT the 01's and up have all the wiring already in place.
You can look at the bottom of the radiator shroud and might be able to see a harness. Follow that harness and see if both ends have plugs, if they do you have found what your looking for.
If you don't find the harness existing I can't help. Sorry, I have done quite a few but no 99's.
I have an 02 ZO6 and they did NOT come with the FOG Light or any wiring harnesses for the lights. I obtained EVERYTHING necessary to do this job my self and had it installed and working in 3-4 hours. That included jacking the car up , installation and unjacking it.
Its not difficult. There are TWO panels under the bumper that need to come off. Once their off, remove the front brake cooling duct tubes. Thats the hardest part. You need to be rough with them. (they wont break! )
Then install the lights on the front header, wire them up. Install the Trunk / light switch in the dash (just plugs right in) and test the lights.
I had to make my own wiring harness and connect it to the fuse box because ZO6s do NOT support fog lights.

Holy smokes Bill, every car after 2001 that I have done this is I believe 6 including my 01 Coupe and a few ZO6's had everything needed actually there.
All I had to do was plug in the lights, tap into the purple wire in the under hood fuse block, (the purple wire to energize the switch is UNDER the #39 relay) and then swap the switch on the dash.
Actually "almost" plug and play.
Just as you said, I was told most vehicles had no wiring when they really did.
Either way, as Bill said a pretty easy project.

Reason: Can't write or spell worth a Damn........
I wish all the stuff was there! It looked like a FOG LIGHT DESERT!
Ive herd that some cars have the harnesses and some dont. I even had to purchase and install the captured NUT that clips into the frame. Had to purchase 50 of the suckers!
Now Im going to start looking at other ZO6s to see if they have harnesses.
My '03 Z had the fuse, relay and the harness that connects the factory switch. I installed PIAA 1100x lights. I only had to install the factory light switch and run wires from the relay to the lights.

I assume you do not need all 50 of them? I want to put foglights on my 99 FRC, and I do not think I have the harness for them. If I need some of these nuts, could I buy what I need off of you?

I can help you ,I make a wire harness for adding fogs to your non equipped C5 . I worked along with TOGUE after he did his .He was very helpful to me . The dual switch just plugs in . I have one of those if you need it ,I use Factory connectors and will supply directions on how to connect to the magic wire in the fuse box with pics ;.They will work exactly as factory. Let me know if I can help ,I still have a few sets of factory connectors left . I have lots of posts on this subject when I was figuring it out for myself. Many forum members have my harness installed .
