frame machine adapters
so, i headed to the frame machine...
alas, in order to tie the car down, i need "a little help from an adapter kit", they are 1200ish
from Chief, and i found a couple "knock off" places that sell some second rate adapters for around 600. i just can not justify the cost. although, i do realize, that without them, i'm SOL.
refusing to admit defeat, i now had to make a decision.so, back the the bar... to think a bit. and a conclusion was made.
conclusion:
being the thrifty critter that i am, why not fab a set of these babies up? it seems very doable. and i do love a challenge.
i have managed to find a couple pics, with a decent description. check it out.
just thought i would drop a post here in da forum, see if anyone had any advice (good or bad), comments, off the wall outbursts or smart *** remarks. all will be appreciated and considered.

We are kinda wondering if the car itself could twist the cradle enough to make it bent, until removed. hmmmm <<< me wondering.
So, tomorrow, we are going to make another attempt at a set of adapters for the frame machine. i'ma thinkin about using a 1/2" bolt, and squeezing a 2" piece of 1/2" pipe over the shank, then smashing it into an oval, the size of the oblong hole in the car. That way i can utilize the strength of the head of the bolt to hold everything in place.
I shall see what i shall see… tomorrow.
