It's recommended to use a bottle of TECHRON (for 20 gallons) periodically. It's the same additive in CHEVRON fuel, but in higher concentration.
It'll help reduce the sulfur buildup that causes erratic fuel gauge readings. I use it about every six fill ups. COSTCO has something that is very similarly packaged, but I'm not certain if it's the same chemical makeup.
Also, use STA-BIL for winter storage.

Fixed my fuel guage problem, reading full all of the time. Carry a couple of bottles in the trunk to use about every other fill. We don't have any name brand fuel stations in my part of the woods.

Techron is an absolute must.. 1997-2004 c5 sending units are prone to sulfer deposits which will ruin them ( 2 sending units) very expensive labor intesive job to replace
I have always run "top tier" gasolines but was getting the dreaded, well maybe just confusing, "no fuel" on a full tank issue once in a while when the guage would act up. I now add a bottle of Techron periodically (no Chevron gas around here that I know of) and a can of Seafoam once in a while. No problems!
