Theres a resistor pellet in your key. Theres module on the FRONT of the ignition switch that reads that pellet. If the resistance is NOT correct, the BCM will send a message to the DIC 'PULL KEY WAIT 10 SEC" . If you ignor the message and start the car, it will start but as soon as thePCm & BCM senses that the car moves X feet or 2 mph, it will kill the engine.
Try cleaning the resistor pellet with a pencil eraser and alcohol or using your spare key and see if that helps.

You maybe getting ready to experience the dreaded steering columm lock issue. That message you describe was the 1st thing that happened to my car before I got the service steering columm lock message. Try to do as previously suggested in this thread and see what happens. But you may wanna verify if you car had that recall done. If not do a search for a bypass or get the work done before you get stranded somewhere.
