Gonna take the winter to decide if I just put a stock ls1 back in and sell it..Or go LS6 modified.

With the money you'd spend on a stock (even a cheapskate budget find) and the install effort.... considering what you'd end up getting for it when it's sold, it would be foolish to dump the car like that.
You might as well let it sit, get a plan together, maybe a stock crank with forged pistons/rods.... (ARP rod bolts )
looks like it broke a valve spring and dropped the valve... bummer..
Yep..the valve spring was broken. Man it made ONE HECK OF some noise when the engine went. First time I ever blew a motor.
good luck whichever way you go... Out of curiosity, what are you doing for tuning?
I had it tuned in Calif 4 months ago before moving to Utah. It was running like a top, then developed a very slight knocking sound. Only thing i can compare it to.. was like a lifter or rocker knock. Was driving it to the shop when this happened.
Ill tell you what. Blowing an engine can be bad, but its prolly the only way ill ever convince my wife to let me go ***** to the wall on improving it. She says, your car is perfect as it is LOL. NEVER! i say
Man, those pics truly made my gut knot up.......dude, I certainly feel for you, and hope you can bring the car back to life, better than before!
I just programmed my 04 with a Diablo Sport Programmer, and have enjoyed the increased "feel" for the past 4 days.....until I saw these pics, which make me want to de-program ASAP, just to be on the safe side!.....
