I was wondering if anyone would no if a bad APP sensor would make my car not want to down shift and take off sometimes. My car is a 97" A4 with 18,000 miles. I have been having this issue now for awhile and I thought that maybe my trans was going bad but when I was about to replace the trans it kicked in and took off so thats when I figured that I had an electrical problem and not a transmission problem. Anyways, I was out driving it the other day when once again it didnt want to take off when I floored it as if it was missing half its power so I thought maybe that the pedal wasnt going all the way down so I got out of the car and messed around with the pedal and the 3 springs and the car is now kicking down when I floor it. My car has never pulled any codes for the APP so I was just wondering if this could still be causing my problems. Thanks.
Do you have ANY DTCs or DIC messages when the issue happens???
BC
None. But after I adjusted the 3 springs for the pedal the car kicked down all day long. So it had me thinking that this may have been my problem but Im still not sure. Any help is very appreciated. thanks
