Default A great improvement

I installed my transco kit and I used my Superchips tuner.I was pleasantly surprised to feel the results were so favorable. The superchips alone didn't make a great difference, but combined with the transco kit,the improvement was amazing.Maybe thats the problem with Superchips. It needs to be used with other mods to realize an improvement? :chevy :chevy :flag :chevy :chevy (STARS AND STRIPES FOREVER)

Hi Rod - Is there more than one Transgo kit available for the car, if so, which one did you go with? How many spacers did you use for the 1 -2 shift and can you customize the 2 - 3 shift ? I'm considering installing kit before deciding whether or not I need to reprogram. Need to do something soon, this thing shifts like s**t . Thanks - Walt

I had the transco kit installed with (3) washers. Some people say its too much.It definitely is a "neck" snapper, but I am getting used to it.The amount of washers you have installed is a personal thing. The nice thing about it is after the installation, you can change the washer rather quickly until you achieve the results you desire.I don't know if there are different kits,as I purchased the kit from the installer. My car shifts very smoothly from 2nd to 3rd.positive,but no snap.No neck snap from3rd to 4th.The shifts are positive without any jerking motion.I would talk with your installer, tell him what type of performance you desire and let him guide you toward a decision. :chevy :chevy :flag :chevy :chevy

Hey Waltz...Let me know if you do it yourself or have someone do it for you and how you make out. I hate the A4 shift too. My '98 GP GTP shifts much better.
