OK, I'm confussed (normal state). I got back from a long run and the passenger door mod decided not to work, no locks or window function. I checked the fuses under the floorboard, pulled them out to check (30,31,33,34), all were good. I know the mod in the door is good because I hit a bump the other day and it decided to work again (for a moment anyway). I am thinking it must be a loose connection between the door mod and the fuse box. Have not yet checked the connection between the door and body panel, if there is one. At any rate, after pulling the fuses to check them I created another problem that was not there before! Now when I get in the car to go somewhere all hell breaks loose. Start car and next thing you know everything goes crazy. Radio & AC die. Door locks & window on drivers side go dead. Gauges read: Temp-260, Oil-zero, volts-works fine, Fuel-zero, ABS/act.handling/check gauges-all ON. After driving for awhile (not long) everything decides to work again, with the exception of the original problem, the passenger door controls. Any thoughts?? HELP!!
I think where the wires tun out the door is prone to problems (inside the rubber acordian). Bad/loose connections are the issues inside-you can search on it but it's a known problem area.
I know this sounds crazy but try shaking the rubber boot that the wires run through. Also, try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes then reconnecting the battery. I had the same symptoms and it turned out I had tripped a circuit breaker. Last of all, PM Bill Curlee and what ever he tells you to do overrides anyone else's suggestions.
Got that right Mellowyellow, one thing at a time. Just went out, removed the boot and stuck my fingers in to play with the connection. Guess what, ALL problems solved, at least for the time being!!!! Will take it for a little run in the morning to see if it holds. If not I would guess that I will have to remove the door panel to get to the connector and make sure it is right.... Thanks again for the info people. Will update the results tomorrow!!!!

I'll bug you first! It would be a wise move to go ahead and pop out the accordion tube inspect the wires, look for bare wires fix them and drive worry free.
