Default Windshield Wiper Problem- funny SOS!!

Our 98 C5 coupe has a little windshield wiper gremlin. The wipers will randomly come on without the switch being turned on. It only happens when you turn to the left. My fiance finds this terribly amusing, I however am quite annoyed (even more when she keeps laughing at it) When they come on randomly, its on the low setting, you can switch them to high, but not off, with the switch.

My question is, do I have a bad wiper switch, or am I about to be chasing an electrical gremlin?? Is this a common problem with the C5, like the oil pressure sender or rocking seat?
Thanks so much to all- JOHN

Check for crud in your udders underneath the wind shild wiper bezel. They are under the bezel on the drivers side and you can reach them by reaching up behind the washer fluid tank.
Sometimes when they get clogged the area up there fills with water and the wiper motor does what it wants to do. The motor is under a 5 inch sheet of rubber too and sometimes moisture migrates from the top. Milk the crud out of the udders from underneath to see if they are clogged. There are three on the drivers side and one on the passenger side behind the battery.

Water is soaking the controller on the bottom of the wiper motor.

Hey Bill. Washed my car today-with udders cleaned out- and the wiper gremlin returned. Had to pull the fuse to get them to stop. Suggestions???

suggestion: leave your passenger seat empty, then no one will laugh at the wiper situation.
