yeah I saw those...I guess they will work on all sizes?? It appears that there are 2 different size connectors based on what I am seeing looking at the filter..

Yep, two different sizes on the tool. One side worked perfect on my 2000.
If your year is the same as my 2001, its a pressure reg/filter, costs about 40-45 bucks and has two sizes of fuel line connectors on it(a total of three lines on it) - 2 small ones that you can squeeze the tabs and release with your fingers(on the rear of the reg/filter) and one big one(front) that i used a disconnect tool on. If you need the size i ll go out and look at the tool and let u know what size it is.(just pm me to let me know u want me to check for u). I just changed mine about a week ago!- Jason
Its on the drivers side just ahead of the rear wheel- in the tranny tunnel. Easy to get to in a manual trans- harder to get to with the bulkier sized auto. Its a 3/8"(big line) and the 2 smaller ones on the rear of the filter are 5/16"!-Too tight to get the tool in between the filter and line to release it. Use fingers. Also- U have to swap the plastic tabs off of your old one and install them both on the new one b4 re-installing the new one. Good Luck!
Thanks, I'll have to take a look, I don't think I've ever replaced mine !!!
Just never thought of it.

I just did mine, and like others have mentioned, the manual transmission (99 FRC) had plenty of room and the job was pretty easy, although gas did spill on my arms (well first onto the exhaust pipe and then onto me!

yeah I pulled the fuse for the fuel pump and cranked the car over a bit thus relieving any pressure..spilled maybe a 1/4 cup of fuel.

Next time just wrap a rag around the schrader valve on the fuel rail and depress the stem with a small screwdriver to relieve fuel pressure. No fuse pulling, no cranking and you won't even lose near any 1/4 cup of fuel. Easy.

Same thing happened to me yesterday changing mine. I'm glad exhaust wasn't hot! On a side note I was amazed how hard the old filter was to blow through after 45k miles on car compared to virtually no resistance on the new one. That made me feel better about dropping 50 bucks on a fuel filter..
