Blackwing install question
to install on my 2001 C5. How does one using the supplied
3.75x2 straight sleeve to connect the air filter to the mass
air sensor get everything to line up right so you can
push the the grommets onto the studs and get the bellow
to line up with the throttle body? I'm not having much
success at the moment. Pictures to this process would
have been nice with the instructions they gave.
Thanks,
Chris
Align everything together on the TORX pins/grommets w/o tightening the clamps except at the throttle body. Trim after measuring twice. Then I got intermittent lean codes and eventually removed the "Blackwing"...
the question before hand. I put the assembly together in my den. Measured the
sleeve such that the blackwing opening and the mass air sensor were touching then cutoff the extra sleeve. It ended up being roughly 9/16 inch of sleeve I cutoff. Put
it back on the car and it fit perfectly.
