This started happening like yesterday and got worse today, 1st and 2nd gear you cant hear it but by third gear and up to 6th I get this annoying as hell whine coming from like the center of the dash, its only when I am pushing the gas pedal though and it doesnt make any noise when the car is rolling at the same speed in neutral, any ideas what this could be? I have new gears but I broke them in properly and now have 1200 miles on them, also I had the differential and transmission fluid changed about 200 miles ago, I am very upset I had the car perfect and now this happens ugh ..Any help is appreciated guys thanks

Well, noise sometimes is hard to directionally locate, but if it is indeed coming from the front, that obviously it's not going to be the gears.
I had a similar problem recently with a whine towards the rear. First thought was the rear gears (new Z06 carrier). Closer look by ECS found out that it's one of my tires. Broke a steel belt in the tire.
However, I had the same issue in either neutral or drive.
I don't know anything up front that doesn't turn with the engine, however, what about your torque tube bushings?
I just dont see how it can be the gears I dont even drive the car that hard and I broke them in so well, I am thinking that the fluid that STS put in my differential when I had it changed is no good?..The sound appears to be coming from the center console right by the shifter but I read that that can still be the gears just traveling sounds up the torque tube, it was worse last night than ever before perhaps the temperature? I dont know.
Does the whine really change pitch in close close unison with your drive train? Better make sure it's not the fuel pump if the answer to that question is negative.

Take it back to whomever changed your gears and have them look at it. Good companies will always stand behind thier work.
