i am looking at a Cat Back system for my 2002 convertible, something with power and no drone. I have looked at the Borla Stinger, some say it is ok but has a drone, some say Corsa Pace, want something that makes some power along with quality and price. any opinions or suggestions would be appreciated
thanks
I think magnaflow is a little bit cheaper than the Borlas, if price is a big factor for you like it is for me as well.. I'm currently looking at some magnaflows for my 04 c5

Take a look at Stainless Works 3" Axle Back. It's 3" so it will have plently of air flow. It's made from 304 stainless steel and has a lifetime warranty.
No really big power gains to be had from addition of aftermarket catback system............Big improvement in sound, fun, satisfaction, and grins, but not necessarily power.
I got the Magnaflow staight pipes with an x-pipe for $400 and love them! They do drone a bit in six on the highway but the quality and look for the price is unbelievable!
Cat-back alone willl not gain you any power really, or at least anything significant that you'll notice.
If you don't want alot of drone , then I would definitley try the Corsa Pace car set up, or some of the GHL exhaust, just depends on how loud you want it.
Stay away from: Borla, BB Bullets, SLP, Straight pipes if don't want drone.
I agree with both Franktank and Guitar.
Acceptable drone varies with the individual, but for me (old Grandpa) it's just unacceptable on an upscale $50k car. The Corsas are rated the best herein for minimum drone (but are pretty mild at low speed and idle like a motorboat). The guys say the GHL doesn't drone bad (I don't personally know). All the systems that sound good at idle and low speed seem to drone a lot - darn it. My nephew's BB Bullets are absolutely awesome at idle, and absolutely unbearable at cruise.
The Ti, of course, has virtually zero drone, but mine is just a bit too mild under normal driving. Too bad we can't get a system that sounds like a camaro, aggressive low speed rumble, and no drone.
