Hope someone here knows whats up.my car is an 02 z06 stock.I was driving normal at 65 mph on the highway when my car just had the rpms go haywire and then the power cut and it slowly died as I pulled off to the side, the code system charge failure came up.It ended up stalling out completely once I made it to a stop and then I turned it back on and drove home without the problem.Anyone else ever have this happen or know what the problem would be? Thanks
I noticed a few threads where people had this happen while starting the car,but this was after driving for 15 minutes normal on the highway,it was scary having the power cut out at those speeds, the battery was replaced a few weeks ago with an optima if that matters.
I noticed the ground wire 104 by the battery harness had some rust and corrosion from my battery I had replaced which was leaking a month ago.I took the wires off and tried cleaning them.I havent taken the car on the road yet.Could that have caused my car to lose all power on the highway?
My 2002 Z06 just did the exact same thing as the original post yet it would not start up afterwords. I have it at the perfomance shop I go to. I will let you know if the door wiring harnesses were the problem on mine.
Not trying to dig up an old post but this was good info. Thank you Bill!
