Default key FOB receiving unit

Hi all,
Does anyone know exactly where the receiving unit is(behind driver's seat where?) for the FOB and how to get to it? Has anyone ever replaced their own? I think mine is toast. :cuss :mad

I cannot tell you how to remove it :(

BUT - it is under the plastic "knot" that is pointing down towards the carpet behind the drivers seat in the hatch...

Good Luck!

I had the deal replace mine :yesnod:

Hi all,
Thanks for the reply bparker. You know, I'm beginning to wonder now. I had my seatbelt TSB for the twisting belt problem fixed a while back and my FOB started acting up around that time. Could they have pinched the wire or hit something when doing the fix? I did lift up the carpet behind the driver's seat last night and saw a wire sticking out of the plastic post area that holds the belt. Anyone with any opinions? Just curious

You can always go to your dealer and "contest" the coincidence of them fixing something and now something else in the same area is busted to see if they will fix it for you..

Take care,

The receiver is in the left trunk area (in line with the fuel door) behind the panel that is held on with double sided stick tape :yesnod:

Hi all,
Thank you C-5 Tech. I assume since it is not near the post for the seatbelt, the dealer would not have touched it at all. I'm going to take a looksee at it and see if there's a loose connection or anything before I get a new one.
