I need some technical advise regarding my 1998 vette. Just recently, I've noticed that when I drive over bumps I hear a slight squeak in my lower front end. A similar noice occurred last year, and was resolved when I had the front end lubed at the dealership. I'd like to be able to take care of the noise myslef and wanted some suggestions as to how to proceed. Any ideas regarding the bushings or how to lube it myself? Thanks
Replace the front sway bar bushings. They are cheap and easy to replace. Typically they start making noise when it starts getting colder and you'll find that they need replacing about every other year. Might as well do the rears at the same time.

They do not need to be replaced anywhere near that often. If they start squeaking lubricate them. I have yet to replace the bushings on my 03Z and I have had it for 5 years. I did lubricate the bushings a couple of years ago.

Yeah, I should have added that I was putting on a lot more miles than most everyone here at that time too. You are right, not needed that often.
