Default Parking Brake Switch Wire access question

Need access to the Parking Brake Switch wire (tan/white stripe) for a mod I am doing. Does anyone know if this wire is accessible from under the center console (if the console is removed) or does the wire go forward underneath (in the torque tube tunnel)?

PS: This wire connects to the Brake Warning Light in the Instrument Panel, and probably would be a real bear to get at up there!

I know I can gain access by following the Shop Manual (remove pass. seat, remove console, remove PB boot, remove Parking Brake assembly), but since all I need is to get to the wire, that seems like the hard way to do it.

Thanks,
Plasticman
