I have a 2002 coupe with the orig run flats that the door sticker states that they should all have 30psi
This past weekend the warning came on that all 4 were low, now keep in mind that the temp went down to approx 50 degrees and l drive it maybe every other weekend.
When l went to a gas station all that they had was a generic air machine with no gauge even though l have a digital gauge. So l went to my local tire shop and they filled all 4 tires and the warning went away.
On my way home l checked the tire pressure and it read 27psi on 3 tires and 28psi on one rear tire.
I drove approx 8 miles since l turned it on if this helps.
The shop's digital gauge was out being calibrated and the technician used his own mechanical gauge. He was aware that my vette needed 30psi.
Is this a big deal or should l go back or could my gauge just be a little off?
Thanks, l have an air compressor that is part of an emergency package but when l hooked it up l felt as if l was losing air rather then getting air, and l hooked it up properly.
I will try my local gas stations machine which has no gauge and then use my air gauge.
It seems that l should over inflate a little then check it and then let some air out.
