Need Info On A Jack For The C5.
Hello, I am looking for a small jack that I can carry with me on long road trips, I travel across Nevada alot and some places have no cell range, I was told to look for a BMW jack.
What might you be using? Type and model car it came from.
Thanks in Advance.

Porsche and Mazda RX7 both used an extremely lightweight but strong aluminum scissors jack.
I found one on EBAY which I carry all the time. It collapses down low enough (3-3.25" as I recall) and weighs about 3#. It uses an aluminum crank handle.

I use the jack from a GMC jimmy or Blazer works perfect cost about $25 from a salvage yard. Scissor jack that folds nicely and fits under even lowered corvettes. Plentiful

This question regarding a compact jack was discussed on a number of threads and there was a Forum member who had offered to purchase these in a German dealership. Cost was lower than US but that may have changed.
Its been a while, but I bought a BMW jack I believe for a 3 or 5 Series off of eBay. Fairly compact, light weight and simple functonality. Works great with the BMW jack pads.
