First time on the forum so fogive me if I am posting something that may be covered somewhere else before. 99 C5 6spd with 115k miles, never had any issues before with anything, recall was done to column lock but also have a CLB. Last week started the car and got the message to remove key followed by service column lock. Figured maybe the bypass went bad so I ordered another from Corvettes of Houston, installed it and went on my happy way for about a 4 days. Started car Sunday morning and same message again... I have tried everything suggested on this board, removed fuses 23 (and 24 &29 as recommended in CLB instructions) to reset BCM, I sprayed electrical cleaner/degreaser in ignition, tried all 3 keys, cleaned key pellets blah blah blah and nothing seems to work. The lock has been bypassed for years so I cant imagine that being the problem, and by the way I even remove the CLB and plugged the factory column lock back in with no luck. What else can I try? I know the problem is not the column lock because the CLB has be in use for years. Can all my keys be bad, can the ignition be bad, BCM be bad? Any suggstions would be great, my local dealer is a small town criminal so I dont want to town it in, but this is my daily driver. Thanks in advance...
