I've recently been having some electrical issues, I think my battery is bad, so when I leave the car for more than 3 days it won't start. So tonight I jumped the car and it was running fine, until I let out the clutch and it died. I did this 4 times and it kept doing the same thing. I could rev the engine just fine, and the batter was charging at +14 like it should be. Anyone have any idea what this is? Fuel Flow maybe?
I took it down there a few weeks ago and they said it was okay, but when I put it on my own charger it says that the battery has an internal short, but it takes it about 3 or 4 minutes to come up with that answer. im going to try a friend's battery in the car and see if it still dies after a few days. Im more concerned about the car dying, I think it could be related to the steering column lock fuel cutoff at 2mph, but the message never shows up, so im not sure if it is.
When you let out the clutch and the car starts to move, then dies, it sounds like the fuel is getting shut off. The usual cause is the column lock problem if it started to move.
I always check the battery connections first, too. For tightness(if u can budge the side mount connections with a firm grip, that might be it) -Just a thought- I ve had this be the problem with cars before...Good Luck!
