Default DIC Switches not functioning

The problem all started with the messages on the DIC displaying in rapid fashion, all the options you can set using switch 4.
The code that was displayed from all this was "DTC B1527 DIC Switch 4 Signal Short to Ground".
The good news is that all of sudden the messages stopped scrolling. The bad news is that none of the DIC buttons work anymore, none no reset nothing.
Things I have looked at fuses, pulled the IPC checked DIC switch wiring, the DIC switches, and the resistor network on the IPC circuit board. I've also checked the grounds in that circuit, all seem to be OK.
Oh btw the battery is new all the grounds under the battery have been cleaned and the car does start and run fine.
Anyone got any suggestions on what to look at next.
Thanks
Jerry

Fill out your sig. Many of us have service manuals for all years, but can't provided exact help if you don't tell us what year your car is

Just looked up the diagnostic for this error. It looks like you will need somebody who has an advanced scan tool probably a Tech 2 to debug this problem. The scan tool is used to determine if the switch signals in the BCM change state when the buttons are pushed. Potential repairs are replacement of the DIC switches, the IP or correction of problems in the wiring harness to the switches and or IP.

Here are some of the tests the scan tool is used for:

2. Tests for the normal state of the DIC switch using a scan tool. The scan tool will display the normal state as INACTIVE, and ACTIVE when the switch is activated.

3. Tests if the IPC is able to detect a change in DIC switch. The scan tool will display the normal state as INACTIVE, and ACTIVE when the switch is activated.

4. Tests for a stuck or shorted DIC switch. If the DIC switch is stuck or shorted, the state will change from ACTIVE to INACTIVE when the DIC switch is disconnected.

Filled out my signature sorry everyone should have known better.
I realized after I submitted my question I neglected to include the year of car.
1997 5speed, mods nxt step exhaust, blackwing intake, hurst shifter, Z06 chromed wheels, brakes, cooling ducts and exhaust manifolds.
I have service manuals for the 97.
Look like a trip to the dealer for a scan is next.
