How are the cats attached?
02 coupe. Are the cats welded to the pipes? My service manual has warnings about supporting the piping so the cats' "flexible mount" doesn't move by more than 6 degrees, or they'll be damaged. Just looking at them, I see no "flexible" anything. Does anyone know if they are just a slip fit and will put out?

Original equipment catalytic converters are welded to, and are part of, the H-pipe assembly.
