Default LS6 hollow valves.

Did all 243 heads have hollow sodium filled valves? Is there anyway to recognize these valves while they are still in the head?I know in 2002 the valve was actually longer then a LS1 valve. Not sure about other years.
Thanks.

I am pretty sure the first year Z06 heads ('01) did not have the hollow/longer valves, due to less cam lift. But, I do not know if these were the same 243 head number as the '02-'04. All the '02-'04 had the longer/hollow valves with stronger springs also.

'01 LS6 has the same valves as LS1. The only valvetrain upgrades in the '01 LS6 were the springs.

Here's a couple good links on the changes from the LS1 to the LS6:

'02+ LS6
