Default Borla Strait Pipe Install - help?

Maybe it's just late... Anyone have/install Part # 12649 or Part # 14778?? The ones with no mufflers, not sure where the mounting tabs go.. Looking for pictures or insight here..
Here is the set i'm installing:

the two tabs on the outside- where do those mount? I see nothing to bolt these things to!

Thanks Guys!

Chris

Yep, "off road use only" sometimes means....get creative. No install info for that part number either on their website......coincidence?

Luckily the Part #14778 isn't an offroad part, but by-gum it has the same mounting system. (No install docs for that either, though)

I don't think they put the tabs on for no apparent reason, I know they bolt somewhere, just need to see it installed to see what I'm missing.

Thanks for the free bump though.

Once again im steping in to provide the REAL answer here, not opinionated jargon.

To the OP those brackets mount are sandwidged between the rear sway bar and the cradle.

To install, simply remove the sway bar top bolts on each side, and place the bracket between the sway bar and the frame and reinstall the bolt.

And your done

Good gracious.. if you were in the neighborhood I'd buy you a beer or 6. I'd have never come up with that. I'm going to go downstairs and try it right now.

Thank goodness for the forums.

I just dug up a picture for you to make sure you have it right. THis was from when i pulled the driveline out to rebuild the trans.

Look above the sway, youll see the bracket and the rubber mount bolted to it, the exhaust slips on that top stud.

That'd be said issue. I have no brackets.

I have the rubber mounts bolted to the exhaust, but no brackets.. as seen by these pictures:

here you go.

The spacer underneath the coupling is just added to make the tips sit higher up. Not needed.
