2 Questions: Dyno & Diff. ratios
I have 2 questions:
#1 - ref dyno tuning a basically stock LS1, except for unrestrictive mufflers (SLP Loudmouths) and BlackWing air intake. Is it worth the money and approx. what gains can I expect??
#2 - I have an '04 A4 w/ 2.73's - what ratio can I go higher w/o changing differentials. IF I wanna go to like around 3.42's, I understand a change in differentials is needed ...... approx. cost on all parts and labor?

1. depends on how good the "tuner" is but between 20 and 35 rwhp is not an unreasonable expectation
@. as far as I know you can't plug in another set of gears in you diff.
Z06 3.42 , new, about $1000 used $300 - $400. Labor maybe $250.
