Default 2001 gage readings

New corvette owner...regarding 3 of the gages...I have been trying to find the proper operating readings for each of these 3 gages...Oil Pressure - Electrical - Water Temperature..in other words - the Water temperature gage reads at two notcheds below the "220" number on teh gage...I aassume this means about 180 degrees, which I believe is normal...does anyone know of a source for the normal operating readings for each of these gages??? Thank you.

You can use the DIC controls to cycle through the gage values that are displayed on the LCD display.

Oil pressure varies according to RPM. If it continually reads 80PSI on the gage and 130 on the display, the sending unit is faulty and should be changed (common problem).

Voltage should be around 14.4v (plus or minus a few tenths)

Coolant temp shouldn't be much higher than 230 or so...(second fan comes on at 235°F, if I'm not mistaken)...

In my 01 the volts will run from aprox. 13.8 - 14.5 with the light off and around 12.8 - 13.5 with light on (If I remember correctly). The temp usually runs around 192 while driving and maybe 210-220 in the city in the summertime. The tranny temp is usally higher than the engine temp but I dont recall by how much. Oil pressure I have not looked at in a while but it seems like its 60 at idle and 80 or more while driving?

Hope this helps.

So 60 while cruising and 80-102 while getting on it is normal for the oil pressure? I thought it was high from what others have said. Thanks for the input.

^^^ So is that correct about the average oil pressure readings?
