Anyone know where the procedures for replacing the reverse servo tranny seal on an auto are listed? Thanks in advance

could it be called something besides "reverse servo"? I have the 99 transmission overhaul manual, but I don't see anything listed by that description.

I don’t see it listed either in the 99 manual. It supposedly has the 4L60-E transmission. A search of bulletins comes up with the reverse servo for a 4T65-E transmission???

Document ID# 1527280
1999 Chevrolet/Geo Corvette

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

4T65-E Automatic Transmission Fluid Leak From Reverse Servo Cover (Replace Reverse Servo Cover and Seal) #04-07-30-028 - (Jun 15, 2004)
4T65-E Automatic Transmission Fluid Leak From Reverse Servo Cover (Replace Reverse Servo Cover And Seal)
2004 and Prior Cars and Light Duty Trucks

with Automatic Transmission 4T65-E (RPOs MN3, MN7, M15, M76)

Condition
Some customers may comment on a fluid leak under the vehicle.

A transmission fluid leak may be noted during the Predelivery Inspection (PDI).

Cause
A possible cause of a transmission fluid leak usually only during cold ambient temperatures below - 6.7° C (20° F) may be the reverse servo cover/seal. The reverse servo cover seal may shrink in cold ambient temperatures causing a transmission fluid leak.

Correction
Follow the diagnosis and repair procedure below to correct this condition.

Diagnose the source of the fluid leak. Refer to Fluid Leak Diagnosis, SI Document ID #634313.

If the source of the transmission fluid leak is the reverse servo cover, replace the reverse servo cover and seal with P/N 24207376. Refer to Reverse Servo Replacement in the appropriate service Manual.
Clean the area around and below the cover.
Inspect the transmission fluid level. Refer to Transmission Fluid Checking Procedure in the appropriate service Manual.

Digital listed it as a reverse servo seal. Said the seal gets cold and leaks. When warm is fine. Fist time I noticed anything leaking under my C5. There is not alot just bothersome. Had to wait for 15 degree weather too.

Anybody know what the dealer is charging for the reverse servo cover and O ring seal designated in the TSB for leaks? I have heard that the new cover is thicker and has a groove cut in it with a larger O ring.
