It would not relearn with the old FOB or a new FOB. The new FOB was for a 2000 too....

I ended up buying the service manual and am awaiting it's arrival to dive in. Wish me luck.

Mine is doing the same thing but its a 99. Key fob's wouldn't work so i bought two new ones now they work but have to resync every couple of days. I'll be watching so please post your results.

Mine displayed the exact same behavior for the last few years......until a few weeks ago when they stopped resynching. I'll post up what the fix was but it may be a few weeks because the service manual probably won't be here for another week or so.
