Default torque tube question?

Hi guys Ihave a 01 c5 i put a 03 zo6 motor in new centerforce flywheel and centerforce dual friction clutch my question is are the torque tubes different ? my problem is the clutch is lined up and im wondering if the shaft on my torque tube is too big .the tt only slides about 1/2 way in and wont move any further. feedback please .Thanks Eddie.

Either your clutch disc is not properly centered or your driveline is not correctly aligned. When I did mine, I not only used the centering tool but found that due to its sloppy fit I also (with the pressure plate loose) moved the pressure plate to ensure that all measurements from the ID of the fingers to the OD of the alignment tool were the same. As for driveline, once aligned mine went in with one hand.

One other note, if the spines don't line up you need to rotate the torque tube input shaft while pushing the driveline forward so they engage. If the tranny is in gear you won't be able to do this.

Also make sure the wire bundle is not getting pinched at the top. A lot of people miss this step that don't use a service manual.
