It was the fuel pump. What was throwing me off is getting fuel pressure at the rail. I kept testing the fuel pump circuit with the car on and off. This pump would not just quit. It had to be put to sleep! The last time I tried to test it wouldn't come on at all. I ordered a new fuel pump from A&A and installed it yesterday. It crunk right up and never shut off. I pumped 15.5 gallons and drove around about 30 or so miles today and the car never stalled.

If only I had a LH sending unit, my fuel gauge would actually be functional. Oh well, at least I can drive my 174k mile car now and got to pass/waive at another C5 in the area.

Thanks to everyone here for helping me especially lucky for being so patient.

Default Update on what really happened!

I just picked up my car today from the shop. I definitely have found a clinic to take my car to anyway:

1. The pins in the underhood fusebox was repaired. I kept plugging and unplugging the fuel pump relay causing the pins to be recessed.

2. Around the LH fuel pump harness connector was frayed. Someone must have previously probed the heck out of the wires and caused them too short out. I did not notice this because I only looked at the connector it self and was getting voltage. Intermittent shorts was causing my fuel gauge to go crazy plus cut power to the fuel pump whenever it felt like it.

3. My dash lights were diming on and off very lightly, but i thought maybe this was a typical Chevrolet feature. They pulled my dash and soldered some contacts somewhere. This makes my turn signals 100% reliable now.

4. My LH axle seal is leaking a little, but will be fixed very soon.

In the next 4-6 months I will try and enjoy the car at least just cruising. When I can get more $$ I will get an ls7 clutch and rebuilt diff with some 3.90's. My fuel sending units were fine since voltage was being read with EFI live.

Thanks again to everybody here in the forums and ATLPF, i would get some pics up, but the car is dirty now and it needs some attention to the RH front fender.
