Yes there is. Do a search on Richards Flasher Bypass Harness. A simple plug and play fix. Under 10 minute install. Somebody will chime in with a website. I can't remember myself.

thats right ... thats why they call it a mod. You modified the design so now you get to pay the real cost. whats nice is this fixes all the hyperflash issues ... cause we all know ya cant just make one mod. LED taillights are next.

it comes with the territory.

those $15 bulbs were never designed for the car, so if you want the car to work as stock, do what you gotta do.

Well not really. The bypass is the quick fix. Easy way out. The flasher relay is in the dash up by the radio. Hard to get to. You could swap your stock flasher relay with an electronic one that is compatible with the LED's. Or you could add resistors to your LED's but that involves some wire cutting. Some people have added a small light bulb inline to work like the resistors.

As you can see that's why everyone just takes the easy way out and do a simple plug and play fix. One day you will decide you just have to have the LED tail lights. Trust me on that.

Sorry about your lay off. Sucks just before Christmas. My company has a track record of that so I fear the holidays every year.

you can't do that in a c5 because it's integrated with the emergency flasher.

the only way to add an electronic flasher is to use the bypass harness.

When I was searching for the fix someone told me that was doable. Guess not. I chose the bypass in any event. Thanks for the heads up.
