I like the way their's looks, but you can find the parts at Summit that will do the same job for a lot less. I ended up paying right around $90 for all the parts and the new sensor.

It is a nice setup though.

This is pretty similar to what I ended up with ...

All I did was cut the plug off and extended the wires to reach the drivers side front of the block, below the altenator, removed the sensor and installed it under on the front of the block, real easy job.

I Like that Idea also. I guess you have to go from underneath to get the block plug out. Is there plenty of room under there to work? Thanks Rick

Default Ecklers

Ecklers just posted a new one on their website. "Search" under oil pressure kit and you will see it listed there for $199.99. Do it once and forget it!!!

I think the best way to do it would be to remove the Alt,I think I did mine from underneth,I talked to Jeff @ total performance and he said that he does it this way,he also checked it against a oil pressure gauge and got the same reading,I didn't notice mine being any less after I moved it to the front of the block,I bet the wire I bought cost less than 5 bucks and then the wire loom cover was about 5 more, all it took was the time to solder the wires together,i bet you could just crimp them and be fine that way,i just don't know why it should cost almost 200 bucks to buy a kit to do this,i've had it on my Kenne Bell S/C'ed car for over a year and a half and have not had 1 issue buy doing it that way,If I didn't have to go back to Ak and kill a lot of fish next Saturday I would advertise and do this mod for everyone for 150 bucks, and make a killing I'm sure.

I just sprung and bought my own Christmas present. I ended up getting one from Perry at DPE. I was going to relocate to front of block , but really didnt feel like cutting my wires. To me this just seemed easier as everything is up top. No ramps and crawling under car everytime the sensor goes.......... Ill let you all know how it works out.....

Do you have a writeup for moving the oil sensor to front of the block?

I would use some 18 ga. wire for the extension.
The factory wiring to the sensor plug appears to be 18-20 ga.
