Getting a cam, have a question though?
Well, I finally broke down and made an appointment to get a cam package from ECS. Now question being is my stock clutch going to hold?..Major mods are as follow AR LT's w/ high flows, LS6 intake, CAI, 160 T-stat, and 4:10's. Car has 30k miles on them, fairly easy milage too. Our power goal is 390-400rwhp. What do you guys think can my clutch hold this?

Aorund 400ft lbs rwtq the stock clutch start to slip, stick and get mushy when you romp on it.
For the occasional spirited driving it may be okay.

My stock clutch puked pretty quick at the 400HP mark.It didn't go all at once,as soon as I started to get a soft pedal,I bought a replacement. Then when the sticky clutch began I did the swap.

at 370 RWHP my stock LS1 clutch lasted 2 years of street driving and 6000 miles.
It started to slip when I hit 5th instead of third.
So i just went with more HP and a new clutch, then another clutch and gears

I just bought a spec stage 3 clutch good for 650ft-lb's I take it that will be enough to handle a mere 400rwhp
