Yes, this is my husbands car and I thought I could post a few questions here and ask for suggestions on a " limited budged " and possible surprise him when he goes away for business and the car is here with me for 10 days....thanks for all the sarcastic remarks and LOL from the others.

Let's see, you want more HP so you can go faster but you don't race.
You don't want a rough idle or loud car but you still want more power.
A supercharger costs to much but your willing to pop for $3000.00 for a cam......

All kidding aside a blower is your best choice bar none.

. As a matter of fact I'm a woman who doesn't have a set of ***** like some of you and my ego isn't ruling my decisions but I would like a little more HP just the same.....Thank you Chevy-SS for your understanding.

For driving enjoyment, one of the best mods for the money after h/c
was to remove my f45 setup @50K and change to c6 z51 shocks,c5 z51 swaybars w/new poly bushing,endlinks and springs
This made my car drive so much better, it made all my other mods feel better also

No one has mentioned a stall yet. With a cam, I'd suggest a Yank SS3200 for a drive absolutely like stock with those 3.73s until you punch it. Makes the car go, and feel, like you added a whole bunch of power and torque. Take a look at my profile. I speak from experience.

OK, I'm not the sharpest knife in the draw so I wanted to check with you guys and get an idea of my next move. I have a 2000 C5 automatic. I have KOOKS Long Tube Headers, Corsa Exhaust, Vararam Air Intake, 373 Gears and a few other minor things that tie into the existing upgrades. My question; I don't drag race but like most of you I want to improve my performance, speed and overall horsepower. I have been adding these upgrades over the past few years by asking questions and reading tons of posts by most of you. I don't know if I should have more power low or more torque or what....I'm not a gear-head, I just want some more HP. With that said, I can't afford a supercharger system they are simply too expensive so what's my next move? I have been trying to read about CAMS but I'm a little confused about them and what other parts they need to go along with them for support. I know this can also get expensive so is there another route I can go if I can't afford a cam set-up? Any advice on cams (brands, size, etc) along with the extras would be greatly appreciated.
