$3000 for mods , what's best ?
Have about $3k for mods . Already have K&N cai , B&B bullets . Heads or cam next , best bang for the buck ?
Calif. smog applies here so don't want to go long tubes . LS1 with 80,000 miles .

Depends on how you use the car but for the best, most trouble free SOTP feel, 4.10's would have to top the list in that price range. If you're doing the work yourself you could have a new clutch as well.

As someone above said gears. Then get a sticky tire. If your into going straight then the nitto 305 35 18 dr should get you 10k miles. At your power level you really dont need any of the stickyer dr. If you like the corners there are a lot of good choices out there.

I'd do the $4700. 4 hour blower special and be done with it. OK so not done cause you'll prolly need tires and a clutch to hook up all the extra power.

Yea but here in California you can get pulled over and ticketed for headers and made to take them off and re-inspected if the officer is a ****head (ask me how I know this). This is why he wants to stay smog legal with no headers.

The cop just writes the ticket, then you have to go to referee station to have it inspected (which right now all referee stations are all closed due to state budget problems so there is some loopholes now to get out of mechanical smog infractons depending on what they are).
