Whistling? Not mine. Can't help you. I would think the idle speed would be high if you had a leak. Dunno without seeing it in real life. Why did you figure it would whistle?

U guys think the whistling is a leak? Or just the way it is... I'm almost positive that there isn't a leak that's why I'm wonderin if the whistle is normal

never had a leak on mine but i would check the latches on both sides to make sure there tight and locked also make sure filter is properly seated

I hear what you're talking about, but it doesn't sound like intake noise to me. Maybe your belt/pulley/tensioner is singing a little?
Ya I kno wut ur sayin its just hard to hear in the video, the car never made that noice before the vararam, u see in the video I put it buy the ducts and u can clearly hear how much air its sucking, its nothin huge the whistle, just wana make sure its right
doesnt sound to out of the ordinary to me. i would just double check any points where it could leak after the filter or maf. as long as you arent letting any dirt in, or going lean due to air entering after the maf you are fine
My 99 FRC is silent, no whoosing, no whistle, no increase noise at all. But I have a question for you, why did you relocate your MAF down near the filter instead of leaving it up near the throttle body where it belongs?

Holy holy shiiit!!! Duude thank you haha I didn't even realize that, I'm goin to change that now,
it could be that you are actually hearing the air being sucked into the motor now that it is soo much more freer flowing... this kit is very simple, i mean, make sure all your clamps are tight. its that easy.
if your maf and iat (intake air temp sensor) was not plugged in, you woulda set off codes.
otherwise...enjoy the intake. these are extremely useable at higher speeds due to the "ram air" affect. low speed, i doubt you'll feel a difference. also, your gas mileage should gain a few points...

So you're saying that isn't normal? Mine is mounted just like that. Hmmm guess I gotta do some changes again.
