Had the same problem after installing a new bulb. Although it looked like it the bulb was not seating all the way. (Went through the top to install). Pulled the socket out through the the brake duct hole and seated it firmly and all was OK. Might want to clean the socket with some electrical cleaner too, and use a bit of grease in the socket.
Good Luck! Hope that that is all is wrong.

Have you changed the bulb? The DRL and the turn signal are seperate filaments on the same bulb. You can have a DRL working but a T/S out

Actually, the DRL is the turn signal filament.

Check the socket and make sure power and ground are getting there. However, I'm betting it's the turn signal switch.

It's a dual filament bulb. It's certainly true that the DRL feeds onto the T/S filament but I had always assumed that DRLs could feed both the T/S and the parking light filaments but I could be wrong. It doesn't break out the dual path on the DRL wiring diagram.

There are 3 wires running to the lamp socket:
a blue/white wire which is the hot feed for the T/S filament (Dark blue for right and Light blue for left)
a brown wire which is the live feed for the parking light filament which is a separate circuit direct from the underhood electrical center. (I can't work out from the wiring diagram if the DRLs can feed this circuit so I cant confirm my understanding)
a black wire which is the common ground.

The DRLs are fed in upstream and can't be inhibited at the lamp unit.

I had to mod my circuit for UK as front ambers are illegal here. I snipped the brown leaving just T/S at the lamp holder. The DRLs are still active at that point and are only inhibited once the relays are pulled and the jumper fitted.

I agree that if the T/S bulb is good (and if it operates occasionally chances are it is good) it could be the turn signal switch. It could also be the hazard switch.

I've digressed. For the OP:

Check the T/S bulb is good
Try using some electronics cleaner on the T/S switch to see if it improves. The contacts can become dirty and cause intermittent operation.
Try reselecting the turn switch vigorously a few times when you have the problem. Does it start working again?
Try reselecting the hazard switch vigorously a few times when you have the problem. Again, does it start working?

This should isolate which component is causing the problem. There are DIY fixes here on the Forum for all of these common faults

i did change the socket twice, and put in a new hazard switch, and new bulbs all around. sometimes the front right will work for a few sec. then it stops. the daytime runner still works ? and then some times it blinks really slow ?

Looks like the turn switch is next. Try the elctronics cleaner trick first. Hope you tie it down soon
