Default C5 Frame

Is the C5 frame removeable from the body or is it permanently laminated?

All the parts are bolted to the frame, so it is the other way around.

So No you can not remove the frame. But you can take all the body parts and other parts off the frame.

but why?

The rocker panels are bonded to the frame. Probably some more spots as well

The front inner fenders, firewall, rockers, and rear tub are bonded to the body. And if your car is a coupe, the part of the roof between the removable top and the rear window is also bonded. For fixed roof coupes, well, the whole roof is also bonded (obviously).
Everything else can be unbolted.
I had to do this for extensive paint and detailing work.
Good luck - It is not difficult.
