removing front seal without cover
Im installing a powebond pulley and thought it might be a good idea to replace the front seal as the car has 70k miles. Anyways, it looks like i have to remove the water pump to get to the timing cover then take out the old front seal and put new one on. Is it possible to remove the old seal and put a new one on without removing the timing cover? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

You should rent a tool (Autozone) and remove carefully. The cover is thin and the OD of the seal is a sealing surface as well so if you scratch the aluminum you will have a problem.

I went to the local autozone and they didn't have one for rent nor for sale. I'm going to need to get one cause man its on there good.
