Default First Corvette, First Set of Problems

I just bought my first corvette, a gently used 2000 C5 Hatchback with a 6 speed. These cars are amazing! But like any used car, there are a few small problems. I have checked for error codes and no codes seem to be present at this time unless listed below.

Voltage:
The digital voltage gauge is displaying between 11.6 and 11.9volts when the car is off and between 13.6 and 14.2 when running. I attached a battery tender to charge the battery and when it was done, the voltage was still about the same. I checked battery post by connecting a voltmeter to the battery posts and the meter read 12.56volts, though the cars meter read 11.9. Small problem but I am aiming for as close to perfection as possible. Could this be related to the corrosion problems a lot of other members are reporting?

Random warnings:
Sometimes when I start the car the ABS and Traction System warnings will show on the dash. I turn the car off, and restart the engine and the errors go away and do not come on while driving. Does this sound like a connection or battery problem? Do I need to start checking the computer?

Memory Seats:
I have the memory package for three users and the function seems to work except for the seats and the telescoping column. I have the easy entrance option on but it does not seem to do anything. The seat (sport - I think) and the column can be moved using their respective switches but will not move when different memory positions are selected. Originally the column did not operate but I used the trick I found on this site, flick the switch forward 5 times and 5 times back... magic. I do get "A6-SCM NO COMM" from the onboard computer. Does this seem like a loose/dirty connection? or something much worse?

Thank you

With no codes showing and no sign of a loss of communication due to low voltage, I too am stumped. Until I re-read the first part, I was convinced that it was a failing battery.

I would still determine the age of the battery and if it is four years old or better, I would change it for peace of mind. It would rule out that as a potential cause. These cars will do the strangest things due to low voltage or a goofey ground.

Good luck and enjoy.

Definitely check the accordion tube for both doors and insulate the silver wire with liquid electric tape, even if it doesn’t look like it could possibly be touching anything. Even if that is not the problem, you will be saving yourself from future issues that are likely to occur at the most inconvenient time. Also, the SCM - NO COMM message means that communication with the Seat Control Module cannot be established. I would make sure it has not been disconnected or that maybe the connection is intermittent due to loose grip of the connectors. Check the sticky Electrical Problem post. It is full of great advice. Good Luck!

Have you programmed the key fob? The seat problem could be related to the fob not being programmed. Also, the memory-seat function will only work after the fob unlock button is pushed.
The "Active Handling" message is common and does not necessarily indicate a problem. My 2001 does it more than occasionally.

My memory seats work just fine without using the fob. If get in the car without using the fob and the seat is all the way back all I have to do is push the correct memory button and the seat will go to its programmed position.

Thanks for your help guys. I just checked the codes again and I do have one under 28-TCS -> C1226 H, though that seems to be quite random.
