Hello all! My headlights pop up as soon as I turn the ignition on. They remain on until I turn the ignition off. When I cycle through the on/off the headlights do not respond. Any advise would be grately appreciated!
Do you have the twighlight option on the headlights. Maybe there is a sensor or something that is amiss in that system if you have it. Other than that maybe a short in the switch. I am just offering a guess.
someone else will chime in.
good luck

Try turning on the twilight sentinel. Insure the headlamp switch is off. Shut it all down and insure the lights turn themselves off and go down after whatever time delay you specified in the DIC. Then, do it all over again, turning off the twilight sentinel. They should go off immediately, assuming you are in a garage. Now if they still don't, then your headlamp switch is probably having issues and needs replacing or you can clean the contacts but you need a very tiny torx tip driver to open it up.

I cycled through the twilight options twice as you suggested and it worked!!! Not exactly sure how that fixed the prob but I am not complaining! Thank you very much!
I seem to be having a similar problem. With Twilight Sentinel on, headlight switch off, Pop-up not working however lights come on. Pop-up will work if I turn off Twilight Sentinel then turn it back on. I might add, with Twilight Sentinel off, lights and pop-up work fine using the switch. Dgrant 3830 mentioned cleaning contacts. I would like to try this. Where are the the contacts? If this will not fix my problem, could it be the sensor or is it something else?

The twilight sentinel operates independent of the multi-function switch(thus, no contacts to clean). If the lights do not come on with the sentinel, you may have a bad sensor, or relay 44 located in the passenger footwell fusebox.
Thanks Lucky. I also noted that my problem seems to occured when the car has not been used for several hours. However once I got the car home last nite, I tried the twilight Sentinel in the garage with the manual switch off. The lights turned on and the pop-up system worked fine. But, this AM in the dark garage, no luck. Any more thoughts? Sorry for the added twist.
Lucky, I just came in from working on the car. I checked the sensor on the left side of the defroster grill. It seems to be clean and clear of debris. I pulled everything off both battery terminals (I use a quick disconnect) and cleaned all parts. They weren't bad but cleaned everything and put it back together (tight). Checked out the twilight sentinel. All workted fine. I will check it again several times during the next week. I'll let you know what happens. Thanks, Ron
