I am facing problem with bent frame.
Can someone explain me how to use this dimension pictures from collision manual? I don't know how it measured, what is "zero line", "center line" and "common datum" physically on the frame, how can I imagine "zero line"?
English is not my language and need somebody to explain me patiently. And give example from pics I posted bellow:
and why there is no "zero line" on the picture
How can I read and how to measure it in the car?
Local body shop in Czech Republic reputedly found that right rail is about 1" out of position, but no idea how they found it, because they dont have this dimension picture. And they can repair it for some $$$ - straighteen rail to its position OR I can have half of right rail from another donor car, but I dont know what is better, "cut and weld" or "stretch it" without cutting.
Any suggestion please?
Thank you very much
Regards
Roman
I think everything is measured from the zero line. and its all measured in mm. I think for such a small amount u can pull it, but the shop should be experienced on what to do in such a situation.

The zero line is actually shown and labeled as such on the drawings (the "L" numbers are measured from this line; for example, the first measurement immediately to the left of the zero line in the side view drawing is 76 mm away from the zero line). It likely is not shown in the lower figure because it would clutter the drawing, and it is expected that a body shop technician would know that it is in the same place as in the two upper drawings.
The center line is a line (or actually, a vertical plane) that runs from the front to the rear of the car, exactly down the center of the car (the "W" numbers).
The common datum is the ground level under the car, from which all height measurements are made (the "H" numbers).
Hope this helps!

Thank Mark, now it's clear.
So if I will level car according four slots 18x35 to 332mm above ground, then should be able to measure rest "H" numbers.
Hopefuly there will be enough space to reach these dimension holes from zero, center and ground lines.
