Default 2002 Driver’s side window problem

In the process of finding the reason why the driver’s side window was moving(in & out while in the up position), I created another problem that I cannot solve yet.

Now the rear portion of the window rubs hard against the white rubber window guide/roller in both directions. When it rubs some time the roller will roll, and some time it will drag therefore leaving a vertical streak of white rubber on the window.

This did not happen before I messed with it.

Any suggestion?

You are going to have to remove the door panel and see in there as to the cause.

I have already removed the door panel.

I see the window appling pressure to this roller in both directions. When the window goes up the roller rolls when the window comes in contact with the roller. but when the window moves downward the roll rolls until it binds against it self, then stops rolling therefore causing the vertical streek on the window.
I plan to go to the dealer in the morning, but I know the Corvette tech does not work on Saturday. So I doubt if I get any good answers there.

The lip on the upper edge of the door panel actually helps keep the window pushed out against the outer weatherstrip on the door, and in the correct position.
If you run the window with the door panel off, you need to make sure it does not fall too far to the inside and drag on something.
