Default Glass pack ?

Has anyone run glasspacks, or similar exhaust on there C5 vette? If so what was the results?
I was thinking of running an X pipe with a couple of glasspacks, or similar chambered mufflers, and then pipes up over the axels and out the back. No catalytic converters.
Your opinions please.
And thank you for them.

No glasspacks. You have to remember that the LS1 firing order is different from your older 350's, so it has a a different rumble. (Actually, the LS1 is a 346ci motor)If you want loud, go with SLP Loudmouths or GHL exhaust. It'll give you want you're looking for.

You'll never get that C5 to sound like a 60's muscle car.

Hey friend, don't run a set of glasspacks on a vette and if you do I would'nt tell anyone.
They used to sound good on a 60's muscle car but not on a vette. Just my .02 worth.
But you do what you want its your car, have fun and enjoy.

ah, the good old days... I had a set of 'Hush Thrush' glass packs on my '68 Mustang! It had a 302 V8, and a 3-speed manual...

Borlala and several of the cat back systems are just modern variations of the old glass pack concept. Round cans that go straight through!!

I was actually thinking of the new improved chambered round can mufflers (glasspack look alikes) when I posted up.
Has anyone used these?
Thanks again for all the input.
