Hurst question
Has anyone cut down their Hurst shifter, my dad chopped his stock one way down and I like where it is at. I need to cut off about half an inch and thread it down the same amount to make my Hurst the same height. Does it make it much harder to shift?

I have the hurst shifter and black shifter ball. The ball has deep threads and it goes all the way down to the bottom of the threads (minus the threads in the jam nut). The shifter ball sits vey low on the shifter. I could not imagine making it any shorter.
