Default Identify this fluid leaking under rear

Help me identify the greenish color fluid leaking out of the rear. I have a 6-speed manual trans. 2000 model hard top. That is the LR axle shaft. Photo taken while laying under car with feet sticking out under exhaust. I found drips under car while parked as a low mileage garage queen.

I know the trans has a label that says Dexron III ATF and that fluid is red. If there a "green" differential oil?

Default Wrench size?

OK. I now know that the leak is the rear axle driver side cover seal.
What size hex key wrench do I need to remove the filler bolt to check the fluid level? I have to go to the store and buy one since it is bigger than the 8MM in my hex key set and smaller than the big 17MM in my tool box. I thumbed thru the 3-volume red manuals and they are next to worthless. They don't even indicate the wrench size needed.
Was there a TSB issued for the cover being incorrectly machined? I wonder if Chevy will fix it for free as a defect (recall). OK...stop laughing....I know it is a 10-year old car, but come on now, with such low mileage it has to be a defect.
I will eventually try to replace the seal myself, however, I really need to check the fluid level before driving it more as I don't want to run low on gear oil and damage the rear axle.

I answered my own question - 10mm.
I went to Sears and picked up the type for my socket wrench.

Default Diff leak

Not sure about the Green color point.

Aside from that it appears to be Diff Lube.

my 1999 has had a condition refered to as Diff or axle SWEAT FOR PAST 5-6 YEARS.

When you reach up with your hand and run it over trunk housing it comes out with black soot /grit /lube
that is forced out of diff due to pressure.

GM can replace seals, and it will happen again, some have fixed it 3 times.

Important to check diff level at each oil change, adn just top up when required,

Yes, the green color is from the break-in additive that they put in a new
differential.
